iPhone 3G owners are raving about the capabilities of the new video feature, which allows you to shoot and edit a mini-masterpiece, trim it to your desirable length, and share it any way you’d like (email, MMS, MobileMe, Youtube). Oh, and did we mention that these videos are nearly HD quality?

With its high price point, Apple is only expecting to sell an estimated 20 million iPhones in 2009; however, adding the video camera as a feature to their line of iPods would add another 3+ million more.
The low-end of the digital video camera market could be crushed. We got word of Apple placing an order for a massive quantity of inexpensive camera modules (within in a $10 price range). The size of the order confirms that they could only be used for one thing-iPods.
This is only the next logical step for Apple, being that the iPod touch uses the same operating system as the iPhone. Due to the high volume camera order, people are speculating that Apple may not only be planning to put cameras in the iPod touch, but the lower end of the line as well.
Unfortunately, there is not enough information at this time to confirm that the Nano and classic iPods will have the video feature anytime soon. But it is very possible that they will include the camera initially for just taking pictures.
It is quickly being known as the most useful video camera in the world today, and competitors are having a hard time trying to keep up. Many have been making comparisons with the Flip Mino HD, which takes high-quality video, but does not allow for on-device editing and cannot be uploaded to YouTube. Also, remember it does not support Internet browsing, email, and apps for everything you can imagine.
Who do you think wins?
