AT&T has now combined all your favorite social networking applications, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, into one all inclusive mobile app. They call it the AT&T Social Net App, and its available to download for free.
This nifty little app allows users to view and manage their social networking profiles through and easy to use single menu platform, and communicate their updates and events all in real time. Once the user has updated the app with all of their information, they can do pretty much everything they need. Update your status, respond to a status, update tweets, view and respond to wall posts etc. Users also have access to new or unread articles from their customized content feeds.
Another neat feature about the app, is that even when the AT&T Social Net application is closed, users can still be notified that they have comments or updates on any of their accounts
Currently, the AT&T application is available on the following handsets:
LG CU515, LG Neon (GT365), LG Shine (CU720), LG VU (CU915), LG VU (CU920), LG Xenon (GR500), Motorola Karma (QA1), Motorola RAZR V3xx,
Motorola RAZR V3xxr, Motorola RAZR V3xxrj, Nokia E71x, Pantech Matrix (C740), Samsung A737, Samsung A777, Samsung Eternity (A867), Samsung Impression (A877), Samsung Jack (i637), Samsung Propel (A767), Samsung Propel Pro (i627), Sony Ericsson C905, Sony Ericsson w580
The company behind the creation of this application, iSkoot, relied heavily on user feedback for this new release. The app was first introduced into AT&T’s Beta program prior to official launch.
“The feedback generated from Apps Beta helped us confirm some hypotheses and prioritize some features before general release,” said Mark Jacobstein, CEO of iSkoot. “For example, we focused on ensuring seamless operation on touch-screen devices — a huge point of interest with Apps Beta users — and also added server-side content caching to improve app speed and responsiveness.”
