Myfonts an Internet company located in Cambridge, Massachusetts their focus is creating a great place to find and purchase .

In addition to their extensive database of great affordable typefaces they also have a service called “what the font“.

What the font lets you upload an image of a logo or typeface and it will scour their database and identify the being used.

We have used “what the ” to save many long hours browsing Suitcase or Adobe Type Manager looking around for a fontname for someone.

Being able to recognize various Glyphs in the image and their recognition system allows for a great deal of time saving when you have an image from a client with a fontface that you either haven’t used or is buried in your “don’t use” folder.
