Buzzwords

Return on Investment.

Typically used to discuss sales and efforts; when using Search Engine efforts, refers to ratio of revenue generated over total cost of activities. Return on Investment (ROI) typically factors in paid placement (PPC) and agency fees, but a more detailed analysis may factor in profit (true cost). If ROI is measuring paid placement only, it is typically referred to as return on advertising spend (ROAS).
